Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma required from an accredited nursing program.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered practice and cultural respect.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Understanding of health information documentation and nursing records.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and post-acute care considerations.
• Familiarity with medications and nursing procedures.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room.
• Collaborate with inter-professional teams to deliver safe patient care.
• Educate patients and families, addressing learning needs and priorities.
• Communicate using EHR tools to document care and outcomes.
