Job summary

Mercy Washington Hospital is seeking an Operating Room RN – First Assistant to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical suite. The role requires intraoperative experience as both scrub and circulating nurse, with 2+ years, and a Missouri RN license or temporary permit.

This full-time position offers a sign-on bonus and comprehensive Mercy benefits. BSN preferred; CNOR and RN-FA certifications expected within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Missouri.
• Minimum 2 years of intraoperative experience as both scrub and circulating nurse.
• 3+ years preferred.
• BLS/ACLS required within 1 year of hire.
• CNOR and RN-First Assistant certification required within 1 year.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care in the Operating Room.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and disciplines.
• Provides leadership and evaluation of other caregivers in the OR.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality; adheres to Mercy standards.
