Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking an Operating Room RN – First Assistant to deliver exceptional patient care in a busy OR setting. The role requires coordination with multiple departments, leadership of perioperative staff, and strict adherence to patient rights and Mercy standards.

Minimum 2 years intraoperative experience (scrub and circulating), MO RN license, and BLS/ACLS within 1 year. CNOR and RN-FA within 1 year are preferred; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Missouri (or Temporary Permit)
• Minimum 2 years intraoperative experience as scrub and circulating nurse
• 3+ years preferred
• BLS/ACLS required within 1 year of hire
• CNOR and RN-First Assistant certification required within 1 year
• Preferred: CNOR, CRNFA
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments.
• Provide leadership and evaluation of other caregivers.
• Uphold patient rights and Mercy standards in all interactions.
