Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Main Operating Room with a 7a-3p schedule. The role requires OR experience and offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus with relocation assistance.

The OR supports General, ENT, Urology, Vascular, Thoracic, Cardiac, Ophthalmology and Oral Surgery, with 24/7 staffing. Bachelor’s degree preferred and Arizona RN licensure with BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Arizona and Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Additional certification may be required per department.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patient care planning with other disciplines.
• Provides direct patient care and evaluates outcomes.
• Writes or obtains initial nursing histories and develops care plans.
• Completes rounds and documents patient status.
• Notifies physicians of unusual events requiring consultation.
• Educates patients and families and reinforces instructional needs.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safety standards.
• Oversees IV lines and patient positioning as needed.
