Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Main OR (7a-3p) to coordinate patient care using nursing processes and critical thinking. The role requires providing direct patient care, evaluating outcomes, and collaborating with surgeons and staff to ensure safety and high-quality care.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of acute care nursing experience and an Arizona RN license with BLS. Relocation assistance and a 15K sign-on bonus are available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current RN licensure permitting work in Arizona and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care planning using the nursing process to ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes; consult as needed to adjust care plans.
• Review preceding shift reports and perform rounds; document patient status.
• Notify physicians of unusual events requiring direct physician consultation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to reinforce patient instructions and educate patient/family.
• Adhere to safety policies and organizational standards; support team members and unit operations.
