Job summary

Research Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (Operating Room) to support perioperative care in a dynamic surgical team. You will evaluate patients pre-op, educate families, prepare patients with IV therapy and medications, and participate in safety protocols to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role includes on-call during select non-business hours, a culture of collaboration among surgical staff, and ongoing investment in equipment and patient safety.

Qualifications

• RN with Operating Room experience or eligibility
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date
• Registered Nurse Diploma required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery
• Provide patient and family education about procedures
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and meds
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in a team setting
