Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lincoln, NE is seeking a registered nurse for peri-operative care in the operating room. You will evaluate patients pre-surgery, educate families, prepare patients, and participate in site verification while ensuring patient safety and workflow efficiency.

On-call is required for select non-business hours; strong teamwork with providers and surgical staff is essential. A comprehensive benefits package is offered along with ongoing education support.

Qualifications

• RN required and registered with state board.
• ACLS within 6 months of start date.
• BLS required at hire or within short timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds and site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification (briefing, time out, debriefing).
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and support evidence-based practice.
