Southern Illinois Healthcare is seeking a registered nurse to provide professional nursing care to SIH patients in various units. You will assess patients, establish a compassionate environment for patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to plan and evaluate individualized care.

Responsibilities include health teaching, monitoring patient status, documenting in records, and contributing to policy development.

Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license required.
Nursing degree at least an associate or diploma; higher degrees preferred.
Current CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilités

Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
Establish a compassionate environment to provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patient and families.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team.
Provide health teaching and counseling to promote, attain, and maintain the optimum health level of patients.
Demonstrate clinical judgement and critical thinking to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
Complete, accurate and timely documentation in patient medical record.
Contribute to development of policies and procedures to support patient safety and quality of care.
Supervision and delegation of licensed practical nurse and/or unlicensed assistive personnel.
Advocate for patient by communicating and collaborating with health care professionals.
Float to other SIH nursing units within competency level.
