Job summary

Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery is seeking an Operating Room Nurse (OR RN) to join our clinical team in the Nashville area. The OR RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate perioperative care, communicating with physicians and teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Currently licensed in the state.
• CPR required
• Advanced life support certification required

Operating Room Nurse (OR RN) at Saint Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery

The Operating Room RN will assess, plans, implement, and evaluate care of patients in operating room. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Hospital. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by OR Director, or Board Runner, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits and projects.
