Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Materials Coordinator to oversee material management for the Operating Room at Singing River Gulfport Hospital. You will supervise Materials Assistants and act as a resource for the medical staff, ensuring supplies and equipment are managed within budget.

The role requires perioperative experience, certification requirements, and strong communication, with occasional travel across the SRHS service area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire/transfer.
• Must complete de-escalation training by orientation end (90 days).
• Five (5) years perioperative experience required.
• Experience with McKesson MIS and EPIC Resource Maps preferred in OR.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all supplies and equipment within the Operating Room service.
• Coordinate material management for the OR.
• Serve as a resource for medical staff, nursing staff, patients' families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain costs within budgeted parameters.
• Reports to Surgical Services Business Manager; supervises Materials Assistants.
