Job summary

UC Davis Health is seeking an on-site Inventory Specialist for the SC Clinical Inventory Department at the Main Hospital in Sacramento. The role focuses on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring critical OR supplies remain available while maintaining PAR levels and perpetual inventory records.

You will work closely with OR surgeons and nursing staff; manage substitutions, back orders, and discontinued products in collaboration with Purchasing.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with OR and clinical supplies and substitutions.
• Experience maintaining multiple filing systems and logistics records.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and basic computerized information systems.
• Knowledge of cost-effective material management in OR environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical inventory control and replenishment (60%).
• Coordinate distribution of materials (25%).
• Support cost containment initiatives (5%).
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas (5%).
• Perform other duties as assigned (5%).
