Southwoods Health is hiring a Surgery Inventory Specialist to join our surgery department. The role focuses on stocking operating rooms, monitoring the suture cart, and assisting with inventory counts to support efficient surgical cases.

Responsibilities include maintaining par levels, returning unused supplies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards like OSHA and TJC, while collaborating with medical and materials teams.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Completed training or coursework in inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Stock operating room supplies according to established par levels and communicate low supply levels to Materials department.
• Monitor and manage the suture cart.
• Assist with inventory counts and gathering supplies for surgical cases as dictated by doctor preference cards.
• Return unused supplies and check expiration dates.
• Keep supply areas clean and organized; assist on receiving dock as needed.
• Ensure processes align with OSHA, ODH, BOP, and TJC requirements.
• Participate in facility training sessions and other duties as assigned.
