Job summary

UC Davis Health is seeking a skilled OR Equipment Specialist I to assist with patient care in the surgical suite and to operate, troubleshoot, and coordinate advanced video and data sources in the Integrated OR. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, nurses, and engineers to ensure safe, high-quality perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Current Surgical Technologist certification from NBSTSA or equivalent.
• AHA/Red Cross BLS, UC Davis CPR.
• Laser Safety Certification within six months of hire.
• Robotic Surgery Certification within six months of hire.
• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent military training.
• Minimum of three years as Surgical Technologist in Level 1/2 Trauma OR.

Responsibilities

• Provide core perioperative support in the OR and assist surgeons.
• Circulating and scrub duties as required.
• Support cost containment initiatives and efficiency projects.
• Lead and train staff as needed and coordinate with clinical/technical teams.
• Support complex pediatric and adult procedures using endoscopic and robotic equipment.
