Job summary

Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, MI is seeking an Anesthesia Aide to support the OR team with equipment care, stocking, and patient-centered tasks under the supervision of licensed providers. You will clean and stock anesthesia equipment and carts, assist during procedures, enter patient charges, and participate in QA activities while upholding confidentiality and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Heartsaver certification required.
• ASATT exam completion strongly desired.
• Nurse aide program completion or hospital experience preferred.
• Operating Room/Anesthesia department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for routine cleaning and basic care of anesthesia equipment.
• Maintains, stocks and cleans the anesthesia workroom.
• Maintains, stocks and cleans anesthesia carts.
• Changes over equipment, carts and supplies between cases.
• Provides/obtains supplies or equipment during procedures.
• Assists anesthesia providers in the clinical area.
• Assists in entering patient charges in the computer system.
• Participates in Quality Assurance / Improved Patient Outcome activities.
• Adheres to department policies, procedures and standards.
• Attends equipment in-services and other educational sessions as necessary.
• Performs other department-related duties as required.
• Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal skills with patients, families and co-workers.
• Maintains confidentiality / HIPAA regulations.
