Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking an OR Aide for Canton Potsdam Hospital. The role involves preparing anesthesia equipment and supplies for general, monitored anesthesia care, and regional anesthesia, while maintaining inventory and ensuring a clean, safe operating room environment.

You will assist anesthesia providers, help with patient positioning, and support OR staff to deliver high-quality patient care and efficient daily surgeries.

Qualifications

• Certified anesthesia technician certification preferred.
• High School Diploma/Equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares anesthesia equipment and supplies for general, monitored anesthesia care, or regional anesthesia.
• Maintains inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Cleans and disinfects an operating room and disposes infectious waste as required.
• Supports OR staff to ensure patient safety and efficient daily surgical procedures.
• Turns over rooms between surgeries and assists in moving/positioning patients.
• Adheres to infection control policies and participates in performance improvement projects.
