Job summary

Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, MI seeks a Surgical Services Aide to support patients, visitors, and clinical staff under RN supervision. The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, safe unit and providing exceptional service aligned with Covenant's mission.

Responsibilities include patient handling, equipment transport, sterile processing, and assisting OR staff. High school completion and BLS within 90 days are required, with medical/surgical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• BLS Heartsaver required within 90 days of hire.
• Medical/Surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains safe, clean work areas in unit and storage spaces.
• Transports medications, equipment, blood, specimens and patients.
• Cleans and processes scopes and eye instruments.
• Assists OR staff by holding patients using sterile technique.
• Assists with room turnover and daily/weekly terminal cleaning of unit.
• Performs in-unit and unit-to-unit transfers and covers for HUC as needed.
