Schnitzer West, LLC in Seattle seeks a Controller to lead the property accounting function for a multi-entity portfolio of owned and third-party-managed operating assets. You will drive accurate financial reporting, internal controls, cash management, CAM estimates, and lender reporting while building and guiding the accounting team.

You will own monthly close, budgeting, and cash-flow reporting, coordinating with management, lenders, and auditors to ensure consistent client service and GAAP

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Eight+ years of progressive accounting experience with close, reporting, reconciliations, internal controls, and audit support.
• Minimum three years in supervisory or team-lead roles.
• Commercial real estate property operations accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with enterprise or property accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI).
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to research accounting conclusions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple legal entities and diverse reporting calendars.

Responsabilidades

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the assigned portfolio.
• Review monthly reporting packages for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timely delivery.
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for the portfolio.
• Oversee tenant billing, AR, AP, and property-level accounting setup.
• Coordinate budgets, CAM reconciliation guidelines, and forecasts with property management and ownership stakeholders.
• Act as liaison with Investment Management, Asset Services, lenders, and auditors to ensure high-quality accounting services.
