Job summary

ManpowerGroup seeks an Operating Engineer to support a leading commercial real estate and facilities management client in Knoxville, TN. You will maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems and coordinate with vendors to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires 2–4 years of relevant experience, EPA 608 certification, and strong communication skills. The shift is 7:00 AM–4:00 PM EST with on-site parking and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of commercial or industrial building maintenance experience.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Strong communication, customer service, and computer skills, including experience with work order management systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, monitoring, and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire/life safety, and building systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Complete work orders through Corrigo and maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment readings.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors while monitoring the quality of outsourced maintenance work.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures.

Our client, a leading commercial real estate and facilities management organization, is seeking an Operating Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer, you will be part of the Facilities Management team supporting building operations, maintenance, and tenant services. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization

Job Title: Operating Engineer

Location: Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour

What’s the Job?
