Job summary

Newmark Group is seeking an Operating Engineer in North Houston, Texas, responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of all building systems at Life Science Plaza. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 2–5 years of experience in commercial building operations, and strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or central plant operations. The position supports a 24/7 operational facility and requires shift work, as well as participation in on-call rotations. Comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years commercial building operations experience preferred.
• Experience in medical, laboratory, or mission-critical facilities preferred.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems.
• Monitor central plant equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
