Job summary

Synechron in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced OpenText ALM Octane Engineer to administer, configure, and support ALM Octane across enterprise software development teams. You will manage workspaces, users, roles, permissions, and shared settings while ensuring scalable ALM processes and strong release visibility.

The role involves integrating Octane with Jira, building REST API driven automation, migrating legacy data, and creating dashboards for project and quality reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in ALM Octane administration and configuration.
• Experience managing Octane workspaces, users, teams, roles, permissions, workflows.
• Experience configuring releases, milestones, pipelines, backlogs, defects, tests.
• Strong knowledge of ALM Octane REST APIs and API authentication methods.
• Experience migrating data from legacy ALM/Quality Center to ALM Octane.

Responsibilities

• Administer and configure Octane environments, workspaces, teams, users, roles, permissions.
• Design workspace structures, products, teams, custom fields, workflows, layouts, and business processes.
• Configure releases, milestones, backlogs, defects, tests, and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain integrations using ALM Octane REST APIs.
• Integrate Octane with Jira and support Octane–Jira synchronization.
• Plan and execute migration of legacy ALM data to OpenText ALM Octane.
