Job summary

Synechron is seeking an experienced OpenText ALM Octane Administration and Integration Consultant to manage and optimize ALM Octane environments. You will configure workspaces, users, roles, and pipelines, and support ALM Octane REST APIs, Jira synchronization, and migrations from legacy systems.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential. The role requires strong hands-on ALM Octane experience, excellent troubleshooting, and ability to coordinate with application, QA, DevOps, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in application lifecycle management, test management, DevOps administration, or QA tools administration.
• Hands-on experience administering and configuring OpenText ALM Octane.
• Experience integrating Octane with Jira or similar issue-tracking platforms.
• Experience with legacy ALM/Quality Center migration to ALM Octane.
• Knowledge of JSON, XML, REST, HTTP, YAML, and API authentication methods.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage: Workspaces, Users, roles, and permissions.
• Configure and maintain releases, milestones, phases, and quality processes.
• Set up and manage Octane pipelines for CI/CD.
• Integrate ALM Octane with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Develop, consume, and troubleshoot ALM Octane REST APIs.
• Automate administrative and reporting activities using Octane APIs and scripts.
• Plan and execute migration from legacy ALM/Quality Center to ALM Octane.
• Analyze legacy projects, requirements, tests, defects, releases, and historical data before migration.
• Provide production support and continuous improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with QA, development, DevOps, and project teams to align processes.
