Job summary

Susquehanna is seeking a Virtualization Engineer to design and build infrastructure for trading platforms on OpenStack. You’ll collaborate across teams to create scalable systems and replace a large VMware environment.

You will automate deployments with Python and Bash, optimize virtualization and network stacks, and design the next‑gen VM platform while monitoring cluster capacity and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• 1–5 years building Linux platforms at scale.
• Hands-on automation in Python is required.
• Experience with OpenStack, Red Hat OpenShift, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Automate and evolve infrastructure deployment and maintenance using Python/Bash.
• Tune virtualization environments for performance and low latency.
• Collaborate with engineers to design scalable VM platforms.
• Monitor capacity and plan for growing resource demands.
• Develop tools for monitoring and capacity planning.
