Saalex in Ridgecrest, CA seeks an OpenShift Platform Engineer to lead architecture, deployment, automation, and sustainment of Red Hat OpenShift platforms supporting classified DoD environments. The role requires hands-on OpenShift, Kubernetes, Linux, and Ansible expertise in secure settings.

Responsibilities include designing scalable OpenShift architectures, deploying OpenShift Virtualization, and building automation through Ansible and IaC while ensuring security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining Red Hat OpenShift environments.
• Experience with OpenShift Virtualization and KubeVirt.
• Security-focused Linux systems administration in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to design scalable OpenShift architectures.
• Experience with Ansible playbooks and automation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, administer, and optimize Red Hat OpenShift platforms supporting classified DoD environments.
• Design highly available OpenShift cluster architectures with lifecycle management, upgrades, patching, and sustainment.
• Lead deployment and administration of OpenShift Virtualization and VM workloads.
• Develop and maintain Ansible Automation Platform workflows and IaC solutions for provisioning and administration.
• Design automation to streamline routine operations and reduce administrative overhead.
• Implement and maintain OpenShift networking, storage, authentication, RBAC, and security controls.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, operations, and engineering teams to support secure platform operations.
