Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking a Red Hat OpenShift Cloud Engineer SME to support a large DoD program with hybrid onsite/remote work in Fairfax, VA and Springfield, VA. You will own production OpenShift clusters, drive architecture decisions, and mentor engineers in a security‑minded environment.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in infrastructure with OpenShift/Kubernetes and IaC (Ansible/Terraform). Collaboration with cloud, cybersecurity, PM, and leadership is essential to deliver reliable, secure

Qualifications

7+ years of infrastructure/programming experience with strong Kubernetes hands-on work.
3+ years production Red Hat OpenShift engineering/administration.
Active TS security clearance and eligibility for SCI access.

Responsibilities

Architect, deploy, administer, upgrade, and sustain OpenShift across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.
Own OpenShift cluster lifecycle: installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, backup, and security.
Serve as senior escalation point for production OpenShift failures and perform root cause analysis.
Automate infrastructure and configuration using IaC, Helm, and GitOps workflows.
Maintain security compliance, remediation, and POA&M for ATO sustainment.
