Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer to maintain OpenShift across security domains and deploy platforms in a secure, scalable PaaS environment.

The role requires Active TS/SCI with a polygraph, a BS in a technical field, and 5+ years of development experience. You will work on-site at client locations and collaborate with multiple teams to meet security requirements.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI and polygraph required.

• Meet 8570 IAT Level II requirements (Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, CCNA).

Responsibilities

• O&M of Red Hat OpenShift across multiple security domains (cloud and vSphere).
• Support OpenShift operators and frameworks (Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps).
• Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams to scale platforms.
• Collaborate with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and secure solutions.
• Support data services (RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack).
• Compile detailed documentation.

Job Description Summary:

Work on a development team, utilizing Agile scrum methodology, which is responsible for developing and maintain agency wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains. The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying a myriad of application stacks and data services.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments
• Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps
• Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online
• Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them
• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions
• Support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack
• Compile detailed documentation

Education/Experience:

• Active TS/SCI and polygraph. Can sponsor for polygraph
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years Developer experience
• Meet 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA
