Job summary

General Dynamics - IT (GDIT) seeks a Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Intelligence customer team on-site in Springfield, VA. You will work on a development team using Agile scrum to build and maintain a multi-tenant PaaS across security domains.

You’ll O&M OpenShift in cloud and datacenter, support OpenShift operators, deploy to new sites, ensure compliance with security standards, and help run data services like RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI and polygraph; polygraph sponsorship possible.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years developer experience.
• Meet 8570 IAT Level II requirements (Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, CCNA).
• Location: 100% Company Site.

Responsibilities

• O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments
• Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps
• Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online
• Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them
• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions
• Support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack
• Compile detailed documentation

Job Description Summary:

Work on a development team, utilizing Agile scrum methodology, which is responsible for developing and maintain agency wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains. The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying a myriad of application stacks and data services.
