Job summary

Metric5 seeks an Onsite DevOps Engineer in Springfield, VA, to support a geospatial intel project. You will work with O&M and Development to securely maintain and deploy updates to a web-based knowledge repository built on AWS Cloud and OpenShift.

You’ll ensure security, reliability, and high availability for client domains. You will implement CI/CD pipelines, manage OpenShift clusters, and collaborate with product, design, and client teams to deliver valuable software.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in DevOps, with a focus on OpenShift or another container orchestration platform.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Experience with CI/CD, AWS/OpenShift deployments, and scalable architectures.
• U.S. government clearance (TS/SCI) and willingness to submit to a polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve system/operational incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis for operational incidents.
• Analyze system performance and take corrective actions as needed.
• Manage, configure, and automate OpenShift environments to support scalable development and deployment.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and documentation.
• Monitor system health and ensure high availability of OpenShift clusters.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy applications within OpenShift.
• Coordinate with mission partners and internal teams during incidents.
