Job Description

We are looking for a Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team in Springfield, VA (or St Louis, MO). Work on a development team, utilizing Agile scrum methodology, which is responsible for developing and maintaining agency wide Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability deployed across multiple security domains. The PaaS environment supports multiple tenants deploying a myriad of application stacks and data services.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments.


• Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps.


• Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online.


• Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them.


• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions.


• Support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack.


• Compile detailed documentation.

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma/GED + 12 Years relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree + 8 Years relevant experience.


• Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA.

Desired Skills

• Experience deploying and managing RedHat Open Shift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment.


• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
