Job summary

Lattice Semiconductor is seeking an OpenBMC Engineer with 5–10 years of hands-on experience in OpenBMC and BMC firmware development to support platform bring-up, feature development, porting, debugging, and integration efforts.

Ideal candidates will have strong programming skills in C/C++, familiarity with Python, and deep knowledge of I2C/I3C/UART, GPIO, SPI, and power-management interfaces, plus Yocto-based build environments for firmware integration.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining OpenBMC firmware.
• Porting, migration, integration and debugging of BMC software.
• Experience with Yocto-based builds and platform bring-up.
• Strong communication and collaboration with hardware/validation teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain OpenBMC firmware features.
• Work on porting, migration, integration, and debugging of BMC software.
• Analyze upstream changes and port necessary changesets for the platform.
• Collaborate with other teams for platform enablement.
• Implement and validate support for management protocols and platform interfaces.
• Participate in troubleshooting, testing, and release activities.
