Job summary

Lattice Semiconductor is seeking a Junior BMC Firmware Engineer to design, implement, and validate firmware for server platforms. You will work with OpenBMC on Yocto, coding in C/C++ and Python, and help enable hardware interfaces and management features under guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in CE/EE/CS (or equivalent).
• 0–3 years of experience (internships/counts).
• Working knowledge of C/C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, and validation of BMC firmware for server platforms under guidance.
• Develop and maintain firmware features on OpenBMC/Yocto (embedded Linux) in C/C++ and Python.
• Assist with bring-up and enablement of hardware interfaces (I2C/I3C, PECI, SPI, GPIO, PWM/TACH, JTAG).
• Help implement/manageability interfaces (Redfish, IPMI) and security features.
• Integrate open-source components and sync with community/LTS releases.
