Job summary

Lattice Semiconductor Corp. seeks a Junior BMC Firmware Engineer in Duluth, GA to design, develop, and validate BMC firmware for server platforms.

You will work under senior engineers on an embedded Linux stack using C/C++ and Python, and help bring up hardware interfaces and sensors for new boards. The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's in CE/EE/CS and up to 3 years of experience, plus familiarity with Git workflows and OS concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CE/EE/CS or equivalent.
• 0–3 years of experience (internships, academics, or projects count).
• Working knowledge of C/C++ and familiarity with Python.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, and validation of BMC firmware for server platforms under guidance.
• Develop and maintain firmware features on an OpenBMC/Yocto stack (embedded Linux in C/C++ and Python).
• Assist with bring-up of hardware interfaces and sensors (I2C/I3C, PECI, SPI, GPIO, PWM/TACH, JTAG).
• Help implement manageability interfaces (Redfish, IPMI) and security/boot features.
• Collaborate with hardware, BIOS, silicon vendors, and QA teams.
