Job summary

Databricks is seeking an experienced Senior Developer Advocate for Omnigent to bridge engineering and the open-source community. You will build templates, demos, and reference implementations while enabling contributions from developers and maintainers across stacks.

You will lead engaging talks, host events, author tutorials, and collaborate with product and engineering to shape an open-source strategy that scales across communities and platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of combined experience as a developer advocate and in a hands-on technical role.
• Hands-on with agentic developer tooling and coding agents.
• Strong Python and TypeScript skills.
• Experience contributing to open source projects and working in the open.
• Subject matter knowledge of agent architecture, orchestration, sandboxing, and cost controls.
• Experience growing a contributor community.
• Public portfolio of technical work: repositories, tutorials, talks, or sustained community contributions.
• Exceptional communication skills with ability to teach, write, and present.

Responsibilities

• Own medium-to-large advocacy projects end-to-end for Omnigent, from scoping through delivery.
• Grow the Omnigent contributor community: lower the barrier to a first contribution, review and triage in the open, and help new maintainers take on real responsibility.
• Drive external adoption by showing developers how to integrate Omnigent into existing agent stacks and their products.
• Create practical templates, sample repositories, and reference implementations that developers can clone, fork, and ship.
• Create high-quality educational content—videos, tutorials, courseware, and blog posts—covering harness composition, contextual policies, sandboxing, and cost controls.
• Drive awareness and adoption through speaking engagements at industry events, conferences, and meetups.
• Act as a trusted advisor between the community and our engineering team, and influence roadmap discussions.
• Support developers where they already are: GitHub, Discord, Slack, Stack Overflow, Reddit.
• Mentor and unblock less-experienced advocates in content, demos, and public speaking.
