Job summary

Databricks seeks a Senior Developer Advocate for Omnigent to bridge engineering and the open-source community. You will own advocacy projects, help developers integrate Omnigent into their stacks, and drive contributor activity from first PR onward.

You will create templates, tutorials, talks, and demos; present at events; mentor peers; and collaborate with product and engineering to shape a cohesive open-source strategy, while keeping a strong focus on developer experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of combined experience as a developer advocate and in a hands-on technical role — software engineer, ML engineer, or solutions architect.
• Hands-on experience with agentic developer tooling and coding agents.
• Strong Python and TypeScript skills, and comfort with the command line and other people’s codebases.
• Proven track record contributing to open source and working in the open (issues, PRs, reviews, releases).

Responsibilities

• Own medium- to-large advocacy projects end-to-end for Omnigent from scoping through delivery.
• Grow the Omnigent contributor community and lower the barrier to first contribution.
• Drive external adoption by showing developers how to integrate Omnigent into existing stacks.
• Create practical templates, sample repos, and reference implementations for clone/fork/ship.
• Produce high-quality educational content (videos, tutorials, courseware, blogs).
• Speak at industry events, conferences, and meetups to raise awareness and adoption.
