Job summary

The Department of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences at High Point University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month promotion path (non-tenure track) faculty position. Qualifications

• Pharm.D., M.D., or Ph.D. in pharmacology, physiology, toxicology, biochemistry, or related biomedical science field is required.
• Postdoctoral experience and strong academic credentials in areas relevant to pharmacy are strongly preferred.
• Medical or pharmacy teaching experience is preferred; priority for those with such teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and teach content within the integrated curriculum as appointed.
• Develop and offer electives aligned with expertise area(s).
• Utilize assessment software (e.g., ExamSoft) for School of Pharmacy evaluations.
• Mentor and advise students as appointed by the Dean’s Office and Department Chair.
• Communicate teaching and scholarship activities with the Department Chair.
• Contribute to scholarship in the field or SoTL.
• Foster collaborations across clinical and basic sciences in scholarship, education, and service.
• Advance service missions and represent the department, school, and university to the community.
• Participate in committees and professional/governmental organizations as assigned.
• Abide by university and school policies; undertake other duties as assigned.
