University of North Carolina at Pembroke invites applications for an Open Rank, Tenured/Tenure Track faculty position in Optometric Medicine (Office). The appointee will teach across classroom, laboratory, and potentially clinical settings while advancing scholarship and patient care.

The successful candidate will possess a PhD or equivalent, be eligible for NC optometry licensure (if an OD is held), and demonstrate excellence in teaching, collaboration, and service to a diverse student

Formación

• PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited institution.
• Eligibility for optometry licensure in North Carolina if an OD is included.
• Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, or supervise at the doctoral/professional level.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to excellence and to serving a diverse student population.

Responsabilidades

• Teach in classroom, laboratory, and possibly clinical settings.
• Develop courses and assess student performance.
• Supervise and mentor optometry students.
• Engage in scholarly activity and contribute to accreditation efforts.
• Participate in institutional service and governance.

Conocimientos
