Merrimack College invites applications for a full-time, open rank non-tenure track faculty position to serve as Program Director of the new Graduate Program in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, beginning Fall 2027. The role includes teaching 12 credits per semester and leading program development.

The position requires a Ph.D. in I/O or closely related field, with ABD considered, and a strong record in teaching and leadership.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or closely related field; ABD candidates considered.
Commitment to teaching excellence at graduate and/or undergraduate level.
Demonstrated administrative or leadership experience in higher education or program development.
Active engagement in the field of I/O Psychology (applied practice, research, or consulting).

Responsibilities

Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and related areas.
Provide academic leadership as Program Director, including curriculum development and program assessment.
Partner with graduate admissions and marketing to recruit, mentor, and advise graduate students.
Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to expand internships, practicum, and applied research opportunities.
Support program growth through outreach, marketing, and community partnerships.
Participate in departmental, school, and college service.
