Job summary

Merrimack College's Department of Psychology and Neuroscience invites applications for a full-time, open rank non-tenure track faculty position to serve as Program Director of the new Graduate Program in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology, beginning Fall 2027. This 9-month appointment includes teaching and administrative responsibilities.

The successful candidate will teach 12 credit hours per semester in the I/O graduate program and undergraduate psychology curriculum, while providing

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or closely related field (ABD considered).
• Commitment to teaching excellence at graduate and/or undergraduate level.
• Administrative or leadership experience in higher education or program development.
• Active engagement in I/O Psychology via applied practice, research, or consulting.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and related areas.
• Provide academic leadership as the Program Director, including curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation preparation.
• Partner with graduate admissions and marketing to recruit, mentor, and advise graduate students in the I/O program.
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, and industry partners to expand internship, practicum, and applied research opportunities.
• Support program growth and innovation through outreach, marketing, and community partnerships; and
• Participate in departmental, school, and college service.
