Merrimack College invites applications for a full-time, open rank non-tenure track faculty position to serve as Program Director of the new Graduate Program in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology, beginning Fall 2027.

This 9-month appointment includes teaching and administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will teach 12 credit hours per semester in the I/O graduate program and undergraduate psychology curriculum, while leading the growth of the new graduate program.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or closely related field (ABD considered if completion before Aug 2027).
• Demonstrated teaching excellence at graduate/undergraduate levels.
• Administrative or leadership experience in higher education or program development.
• Active engagement in I/O Psychology through practice, research, or consulting.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and related areas.
• Lead as Program Director, including curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation prep.
• Collaborate with graduate admissions and marketing to recruit, mentor, and advise graduate students.
• Partner with industry to expand internships, practicum, and applied research opportunities.
• Drive program growth through outreach, marketing, and community partnerships; participate in service.
