Job summary

Merrimack College invites applications for a full-time, open rank non-tenure track Program Director of the new Graduate Program in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, beginning Fall 2027. The 9-month appointment includes teaching 12 credit hours per semester in the I/O graduate program and undergraduate psychology, with leadership for the program’s growth.

The candidate will teach, lead curriculum development, and collaborate across admissions, marketing, and industry partners to expand

Qualifications

Demonstrated teaching excellence at graduate/undergraduate level.
Administrative or leadership experience in higher education or program development.
Active engagement in I/O Psychology (applied practice, research, consulting).

Responsibilities

Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and related areas.
Provide academic leadership as Program Director, including curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation preparation.
Partner with graduate admissions and marketing to recruit, mentor, and advise graduate students in the I/O program.
Collaborate with faculty, administration, and industry partners to expand internship, practicum, and applied research opportunities.
Support program growth and innovation through outreach, marketing, and community partnerships.
Participate in departmental, school, and college service.
