Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Open Pit Engineering Superintendent for the Phoenix operation. The role focuses on managing safety, environmental, production, and financial targets while guiding mine planning and expansion efforts.

The candidate will lead a technical team, oversee life-of-mine forecasting and budgeting, and ensure accurate reserves and resources reporting. Strong leadership and software proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible mining experience, including supervisory experience.
• Experience with project management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the management of the operations to ensure health and safety, environmental, production, and financial targets are achieved.
• Guide and integrate all horizons of mine planning and their supporting functions.
• Provide engineering support to progress expansion and growth opportunities with the growth team.
• Manage rolling life of mine forecasting, including mine planning, operating costs, and annual budgeting.
• Provide updated reserves and resource calculations with Mineral Resource Management for the annual report.
• Inspire, develop, and grow a highly motivated team of technical staff.
• Coordinate, communicate and advocate effectively with other teams, sites, and the broader organization.
