Job summary

Memorial Health University Medical Center is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead patient-centered care in the Open Heart unit in Savannah, GA. You will coordinate nursing work, collaborate with management, and champion patient outcomes.

You will drive admission/discharge processes, quality monitoring, and staff development while guiding staffing and inventory control to support efficient care delivery.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN is required to practice as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator.
• Associate Degree or RN Diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, with management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to create teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports nursing strategies to improve engagement, including hourly rounds and staff initiatives.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training staff and oversees training and development actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Helps with inventory control and equipment management.
