Christiana Hospital, part of ChristianaCare Health System, is seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse II to join the Open Heart Team. The role focuses on intraoperative care for complex open-heart procedures within a high-acuity cardiovascular unit.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, a BSN is preferred, and has multiple years in the OR with Open-Heart Team experience. This on-site position offers a robust benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred or commitment to obtaining within three years of hire with relevant experience.
• Current RN licensure required
• Three years or more Operating Room experience required
• Two–Three years of Open-Heart Team circulating and scrubbing experience

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, evidence-based intraoperative nursing care for complex open-heart procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to facilitate safe, efficient operations.
• Ensure adherence to sterile technique and best practices in cardiac surgery.
• Support patients and families with professionalism, compassion, and clear communication
