Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, seeks a CVOR Registered Nurse PRN to join a high-volume surgical team. The role is in a busy six-room CVOR suite, performing complex open-heart and thoracic procedures with a focus on safety and patient care.

PRN scheduling offers predictability with four weeks advance posting and opportunities for professional growth. Qualified candidates will have 1+ year CVOR nursing experience, an Associate Degree in Nursing, and NC licensure (eNLC may apply).

Qualifications

• 1+ years CVOR nursing experience.
• Background in operating room nursing and patient care.
• BLS and ACLS certification current.

Responsibilities

• Schedule PRN: 2–6 shifts per pay period, bi-weekly calls.
• Support a culture of mutual respect and collaboration among surgical staff.
• Ongoing investment in equipment and patient positioning to improve safety and efficiency.
• Rounding with unit leaders and charge nurses to discuss patient care improvements.
• On-call required during select non-business hours.
