Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Registered Nurse - CVOR to provide high-level pre- and post-operative care in a busy OR setting. The CVOR nurse will assess patients, participate in discharge planning, and assist surgeons in cardio-thoracic procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing the OR, maintaining sterility, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Requires CA RN license and OR experience; CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year OR experience in acute care or surgery center.
• Circulating for cardio-thoracic/coronary bypass surgery preferred.
• Completion of an accredited RN program required.
• Current California RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
• CNOR preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessment appropriate to patient’s diagnosis and care setting.
• Initiate discharge planning on admission as appropriate.
• Assist physician with OR procedures, including cardio-thoracic surgery.
• Set up for cases and maintain sterility per AORN guidelines.
