ChristianaCare is seeking a CVOR Registered Nurse II to join the Open Heart Team. The role involves intraoperative care for complex open-heart procedures within a high-acuity cardiovascular surgical unit.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusionists to deliver outstanding patient outcomes. The ideal candidate has 3+ years OR experience with Open-Heart Team circulating and scrubbing, holds RN licensure, and preferably a BSN or commitment to obtain one within three

• BSN preferred or commitment to obtaining within three years of hire.
• Current RN licensure required.
• Three years or more Operating Room experience required.
• Two-Three years of Open-Heart Team circulating and scrubbing experience.

Responsibilities

Christiana Hospital is seeking a highly competent, experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with specialized Open Heart (CVOR) experience to join our distinguished cardiovascular surgical team.

In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and cardiovascular specialists within a high-acuity environment focused on outstanding outcomes and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical expertise, sound judgment, accountability, and a commitment to service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, evidence-based intraoperative nursing care for complex openheart surgical procedures

• Collaborate effectively with surgeons and surgical teams to facilitate safe, efficient operations

• Ensure adherence to sterile technique, clinical standards, and best practices in cardiac surgery

• Support patients and their families with professionalism, compassion, and clear communication

Qualifications

BSN preferred or Commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.

Current RN licensure required

Two-Three years of Open-Heart Team circulating and scrubbing experience

$40.00This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCares good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
