ChristianaCare Health System in Newark, Delaware, seeks a CVOR Nurse with Open Heart experience to join our cardiovascular surgical team. This full-time role covers Day/Evening shifts with 10-hour shifts and on-call requirements, including Open Heart procedures and Mid-shift flexibility.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN preferred or progress within three years, current RN licensure, 3+ years OR experience, and 2–3 years in Open-Heart Team circulating and scrubbing.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred or willingness to obtain within three years of hire
• Current RN licensure required
• Three years OR experience required
• Two to three years Open-Heart Team circulating and scrubbing experience

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled intraoperative nursing care for complex open-heart procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient operations
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to cardiac surgery standards
• Support patients and families with professionalism and clear communication
• Participate in Open-Heart Call and be flexible for Mid shifts as needed
