Job summary

Accenture seeks an experienced Knowledge Modeler / Ontologist to design, govern, and deliver domain ontologies for enterprise knowledge graphs. You will collaborate with data engineering, AI/ML, and business SMEs to translate complex domains into rigorous semantic models that power intelligent applications.

This hybrid role requires time in office and travel up to 80%, with focus on OWL/RDFS/SKOS, SPARQL, and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on ontology engineering or knowledge modelling experience.
• Experience delivering domain ontologies in enterprise or consulting settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Library Science, Linguistics, Philosophy, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead ontology lifecycle from requirements to deployment across OWL 2, RDF, RDFS and SKOS.
• Design T-Box structures and support A-Box hydration patterns across data sources.
• Apply naming conventions, URI strategies and modular ontology architecture.
• Create and evolve ontologies, taxonomies and vocabularies using OWL, RDF, RDFS and SKOS.
• Map relational data into semantic frameworks and build knowledge graphs for analysis.
• Collaborate with NLP, data engineering, and business SMEs to validate competency questions and governance practices.
