Job summary

State of Indiana seeks a property manager for a major Fish & Wildlife area, overseeing daily operations, staff, and safety. You will guide habitat management, public use activities, and facility maintenance while coordinating budgets and contracts.

The role requires leadership, hands-on supervision, and on-site presence with on-call responsibilities. A bachelor’s degree in natural resources or related fields is required, with opportunities for advancement within DNR.

Qualifications

• Ability to hire, direct, train, develop, motivate, discipline and evaluate a diverse range of employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a mid to large DNR property.
• Plan and direct wildlife habitat and resource management practices.
• Direct public use activities including hunting, camping, and visitor services.
• Supervise maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment.
• Assist budgeting and reporting for property operations and revenues.
• Supervise construction projects and coordinate labor resources.
