Qualifications

• Experience managing warehouse, distribution, logistics, or shipping operations.
• Experience negotiating freight rates and working directly with transportation carriers.
• Knowledge of freight claims, Bills of Lading, freight auditing, and shipping documentation.
• Strong inventory control and warehouse management experience.
• Proficiency with ERP, warehouse management, or transportation software systems.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Dependable, self‑directed leader with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, inventory management, and shipping activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized facility while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Oversee employee scheduling, attendance tracking, and timekeeping processes.
• Coordinate facility maintenance, inspections, security response, and operational continuity needs.
• Manage inventory cycle counts, adjustments, and loss prevention efforts to maintain accuracy and accountability.
• Oversee outbound freight operations, balancing service levels, delivery timelines, and transportation costs.
• Negotiate carrier rates and maintain productive relationships with freight partners.
• Verify shipping documentation, freight invoices, and transportation records for accuracy.
• Manage freight claims from investigation through resolution, including shortages, damages, and billing discrepancies.
• Coordinate customer deliveries and communicate shipping solutions that provide the best value and service experience.
• Partner closely with sales, accounting, and warehouse staff to ensure smooth order processing and delivery execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer service, and warehouse productivity.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and customer‑focused team environment.
• Remain vigilant regarding facility security and operational risks, escalating concerns when appropriate.
