Job summary

Sierra Wireless Rowland, CA is hiring a Wafer Fab Process Technician to run volume production for InP BH DFB lasers and BH GC devices. You will operate photolithography tracks, perform wet etch steps, and support MOCVD regrowth for buried heterostructures in a cleanroom environment.

Role emphasizes process control, yield stability, and mentoring junior technicians while meeting daily throughput targets in a high-volume photolithography bay.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics, chemistry, materials science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5–10 years in semiconductor/photonics wafer processing with III-V/InP experience.
• Hands-on experience operating photolithography track systems and steppers/scanners in high-volume production.
• Hands-on wet etch on III-V materials (InP, InGaAsP) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of photolithography, wet etch, and inline fab steps.

Responsibilities

• Operate photolithography module to move wafer lots through volume production on schedule.
• Manage litho track, CD, overlay, and film thickness within specification.
• Execute wet etch steps and device-level regrowth support, controlling time, temp, and chemistry.
• Perform wet bench operations and maintain bath chemistry and etch-rate monitors.
• Lead root-cause investigations and coordinate with engineering on corrective actions.
• Own SPC charts and process recipes; support qualification of new steps.
